The Biggest Problems With Growing Online and Offline Businesses Today — And How to Truly Win Over the Next 2 Years

A yellow graph with the words winning over business growth solving the biggest problems

The world of business is evolving at lightning speed. Technology, consumer behavior, and economic pressures have created an entirely new playing field for entrepreneurs and business owners. The truth is, while there are more opportunities than ever before, the challenges have never been greater.

In this newsletter, we’ll break down the biggest problems businesses face today, what you really need to understand to succeed, and actionable strategies to achieve small, consistent wins that compound over time. Let’s dive in.

I have been working with clients and coaches over the last few years that are struggling with areas just like myself. I only share with you my readers what I wish someone would have helped me with understanding as I have spent countless hours, thousands of dollars wasted on strategies that really did not get me closer to my goals. So let's start with FACTS!!!

But before we start, I do say this with confidence. I have learned more over the last few years from both to really see how to help serve others faster. Those situations and conversation also opened up my eyes to what is really going on.

The Biggest Problems Facing Businesses Today

1. Information Overload

  • The Problem: With so much information available online, entrepreneurs often get stuck in the “learning loop” rather than taking action. Every day, there’s a new course, webinar, or strategy to try, leading to paralysis by analysis.
  • The Truth: The key isn’t knowing everything — it’s implementing what’s essential.

2. Lack of Clear Strategy

  • The Problem: Many business owners dive in without a clear roadmap, hoping tactics like social media ads or viral videos will bring results. Instead, they burn through resources with no tangible ROI.
  • The Truth: Success comes from consistent, focused execution of a well-thought-out plan.

3. Overreliance on Social Media

  • The Problem: Relying solely on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or Facebook is risky. Algorithms change, accounts get banned, and trends fade.
  • The Truth: Build an ecosystem that combines social media with email lists, communities, and your own platforms (like a website or app).

4. Misunderstanding Your Audience

  • The Problem: Businesses often market to who they think their audience is, rather than who they actually are.
  • The Truth: Invest time in understanding your customer deeply. Data and feedback are your best friends.

5. Fear of Selling

  • The Problem: Many entrepreneurs struggle to confidently promote their products or services, worrying they’ll come off as pushy.
  • The Truth: Selling is serving. If you believe in your product, you’re doing your audience a favor by offering it to them.

What You Need to Understand to Win

1. Focus on Micro Wins

  • Small, daily actions create momentum.
  • Example: Instead of trying to grow your TikTok to 100K followers in a month, aim for 5 meaningful connections or DMs daily.

2. The Power of Community

  • Audiences consume content; communities engage with it.
  • Build a tribe by responding to comments, hosting Q&A sessions, and creating spaces for interaction (e.g., Facebook groups, Slack, or Discord).

3. Diversify Your Presence

Platforms to Prioritize:

  • YouTube: For long-form, evergreen content.
  • LinkedIn: For B2B networking and thought leadership.
  • TikTok: For viral trends and short-form storytelling.
  • Facebook: For community building.
  • Twitter (X): For thought-provoking ideas and quick updates.
  • Actionable Tip: Start with one or two platforms where your audience is most active, then branch out strategically.

4. Invest in Personal Branding

  • People buy from people, not faceless companies.
  • Share your journey, failures, and successes authentically.
  • Inspirational Take: As Gary Vee says, “Document, don’t create.” Share your real process.

5. Understand the Importance of the Funnel

  • Top of Funnel: Platforms like TikTok and Instagram to attract attention.
  • Middle of Funnel: Nurture relationships via email or private groups.
  • Bottom of Funnel: Convert with clear offers and CTAs.

Actionable Strategies

Build Authority Through Content

  • Share expertise consistently. Post short-form videos on TikTok, thought-leadership posts on LinkedIn, and long-form videos on YouTube.
  • Actionable Nugget: Use AI tools like ChatGPT to generate ideas, headlines, or scripts.
  • Example: Shanee Moret emphasizes the importance of storytelling in posts to build an emotional connection.

Leverage Paid Advertising Wisely

  • Test small budgets on platforms like Facebook Ads or TikTok Ads to see what resonates.
  • Retarget website visitors with personalized offers.
  • Actionable Nugget: Use tools like Canva to create ad visuals and A/B test headlines.

Engage With Your Audience Daily

  • Respond to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Post interactive content (polls, quizzes, Q&A sessions).
  • Sabri Suby’s Tip: “The more conversations you have, the more conversions you’ll make.”

Simplify Your Offers

  • Don’t overwhelm your audience with too many options.
  • Focus on a flagship product or service and perfect its delivery.
  • Justin Alic’s Nugget: “Simplicity scales. Complexity fails.”

Overcoming Common Mindset Challenges

 1.Perfection Paralysis

  • Problem: Waiting for everything to be “perfect” before launching.
  • Solution: Adopt a test-and-learn approach. Version 1 is better than version none.

2. Fear of Failure

  • Problem: Worrying about negative feedback or mistakes.
  • Solution: Reframe failure as feedback. Each mistake is a step closer to success.

3. Comparing Yourself to Others

  • Problem: Seeing others’ highlight reels and feeling inadequate.
  • Solution: Focus on your unique journey and progress.

I want to share a few things about my story. I started in the insurance career at 27 years old. I was lost and did not know what to do. I was good at sales and management but took a few months off to clear my head before sitting down with someone one night that changed my life. I wanted to make six figures but could not find the right vehicle. So I was told that the insurance industry could be my opportunity and it was. I went to a 2 week class, passed the test within a few months got started and my first year made $110,000 at 28 years old.

What I did was what most don't do. I blocked out others telling me their opinions who never achieved it for themselves. I worked on myself with self development. I worked late hours without someone telling me a had to.

My Succcess Formula:

  1. Set Your Goals
  2. Make Phone Calls
  3. Build Relationships and Partnerships For Profit
  4. Set Appointments
  5. Close Deals Daily
